In 1927, Albert SUGANAS began his raw materials recycling activity with the recovery of metals, cardboard, rabbit skins, jute bags, etc.
30 years later, his son Louis SUGANAS created the plastics recycling activity in parallel. He bought machines, hired a team (engineers, technicians, operators) and started grinding and regeneration.
Together with Lesieur oils, he initiated the first extrusion-blowing machines based on a truck gearbox.
At the beginning of the 1990s, Eric and Hervé joined the family business. The largest industrialists and plastics manufacturers have placed their trust in them in fields as demanding as the automotive, household appliance and packaging industries, as well as the construction and handling industries…
They developed the company until the end of 2008, when they decided to sell it.
In 2016, they decided to create Normandie Plastique Valorisation.
With more than 20 years of experience in compounding and regeneration, the SUGANAS brothers know the requirements of the material.
The recycling of plastics is seen from the plastics industry’s point of view and not from the technical point of view of the recyclers.
The objective is to replace new material.
So we have to know what we are selling and put all the chances on our side.
Being a pioneer in one’s business sometimes creates big difficulties! We have experienced the time when we had to keep quiet and especially not disclose that we were supplying regenerated/recompounded material to certain processors!
Some producers were able to put obstacles in our way so that we could not sell material to their customers even though we fully met the specifications!
We supplied a large number of industries because we were able to process many materials (PE, PP, PS, ABS, PC, PC/ABS, PMMA, PA, PVC, thermoplastic polyesters, etc.).
We also compound new material. In fact, we were a subcontractor of a large masterbatch manufacturer and formulated rigid PVC in new material. We worked according to the needs of the customers by incorporating certain additives (talc, impact, shrinkage, UV, antistatic, colouring, special products, etc.).
We had mills, fast mixers, single screw, twin screw and counter-rotating extruders.
After a few years without production, being only consultants in recycling and agents with our other company POLYTRADE, we decided to create NPV following the request of customers.
Various requests were made to us in the very technical fields of plastics sorting.
